Optimizing the geometry of an internal combustion engine cylinder for a UAV is a complex, multiphysics problem. An engineer has to take into account heat dissipation and airflow rates, while at the same time, fulfilling structural and weight requirements.

In this nTop Live session, John Graham, Application Engineering Director at nTop, explains how an engineering team streamlined this process using nTop and field-driven design. He demonstrates how you can spatially vary and control the size of a lattice using simulation data.

Watch to learn how to:

  • Drive geometry directly from simulation data
  • Combine different simulation results to customize a lattice
  • Create repeatable and robust design workflows
